Innovation in Interior Design

Featherlite Coaches has a long standing partnership with the very talented Julie Mandrell of Jules & Peabody, a professional boutique design studio specializing in private aircraft and motorcoaches.  With over 20 years of experience in Motorcoach and Aviation Design, Julie makes our interior spaces functional, safe, and beautiful by determining space requirements and selecting essential and decorative items, such as colors, lighting, and materials.  She is an expert at combining design elements of space, line, forms, light, color, texture and pattern - keeping them balanced to create an aesthetically pleasing interior.  Julie offers exclusive interior design concierge service for Featherlite Coaches.

The interior of "Zion" was inspired by designer Kelly Wearstler's Proper Hotel, Julie puts her own creative spin. Taking a few risks mixing different but coordinating patterns creating a slightly funky, vintage feel but still modern that goes both masculine and feminine directions.  Sophisticated and sensual with deep colors, rich textures, and natural materials.

Key Design Elements in "Zion"

Tile: Tile accents in Ann Sacks, Savoy Penny Round, Metallic Bronze - crafted by Japanese artisans using unique glazes add a strong and beautiful design element.

LED Sconce Lights: Hudson Valley, Boca - featuring a gracefully curved arm and a spherical glass diffuser, metal on the top half, layered on the bottom half. Clear on the outside, etched on the inside, this orb provides dimension and depth to the LED light spilling out from within it.

Countertops: Silestone, Eternal Serena, Suede Finish quartz - smoky grey with thin bright white veins and cream-colored deposits.  Quartz is a superior material due to its nonporous nature - making it impervious to stains, durable, and low-maintenance.  

Faucets: European Hansgrohe faucets - slender, functional and mulit-award-winning design.

Designer Textiles:  Leathers from Moore and Giles and Holly Hunt, fabrics from Holly Hunt and Kravet provide a sensuous combination of texture, pattern and color.
